Dunlap Towing Company is currently accepting applications for the following positions:

 

 

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

 

Job Summary:  Long-term heavy equipment operator to work swing-shift position on a 4/10 schedule at a wood chip handling facility in Everett, WA. In addition to operating equipment, this position will be expected to perform a variety of tasks.

 

Knowledge/Skill:

Reliable, self-starter

Communication and organizational skills to work effectively in a team environment

Good judgment and problem solving skills

Operating experience is a plus

 

Competitive wage and benefits package.

 

 

ENGINEER/DECKHAND

 

Requirements:

Valid MMC with minimum DDE 4,000 HP

Valid USCG Medical Certificate (with valid STCW date)

Valid Transportation Identification Credential (TWIC)

Crewing: Two weeks on – Two weeks off

Work Area: Puget Sound

 

 

CHIEF ENGINEER

 

Requirements:

Valid MMC with minimum DDE 500GT

Valid USCG Medical Certificate (with valid STCW date)

Valid Transportation Identification Credential (TWIC)

Minimum two (2) years’ experience sailing as sole engineer

 

 

SHOP LABORER/MECHANIC

 

Responsibilities:

Assist/perform facility and equipment maintenance and cleaning as directed.

Qualifications: 

Physically able to board tugs and barges.

Requires working in confined spaces.

Ability and willingness to work independently with little guidance.

Ability and willingness to work well alongside others as part of a team.

Experience with mechanics hand and power tools, including forklift a plus.

Maritime Experience a plus.

Hours:

6-2:30 Spring and Summer

7-3:30 Fall and Winter

OT as required

 

 

TUG/BARGE MECHANIC

 

Responsibilities:

Perform repair, maintenance and inspection work on tug boats and barges as directed by the Port Engineer.

Qualifications:   

Physically able to board tugs and barges.

Requires working in confined spaces.

Marine engine (Caterpillar) and gear experience preferred.

Experience with mechanics hand and power tools, including forklift.

Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical systems preferred.

Maritime experience, including work and/or maintenance on tugs and barges preferred.

Hours:

6-2:30 Spring and Summer

7-3:30 Fall and Winter

OT/On call as required
